A couple of weeks back my four year old niece asked me where I lived, I looked at her strangely like she was saying something utterly ridiculous, but then I realised I didn't have an actual answer to give her. I have a home, but I'm never there. I visit home as much as possible and I try to catch up with people. Then there's Uni, Okay I'm there most of the time but recently I haven't been unpacking. I'm currently in Kent staying with my boyfriend for the week which has been a relaxing week off for me... and ofcourse living out of my suitcase still.
It feels like I lead three completly seperate lives, and it's a strange feeling. I feel like I don't really have a place I call home, even when I'm at my parents house I still find myself living out of my suitcase. I went home only for a week over the Christmas break, and in that week I never felt like I was home. I didn't even hang my clothes up in the wardrobe... okay that could be because I felt lazy, but I knew I was only home for the week.
My Sister said to me "home is where you stay longer than 4 days."
Well if that's true that would mean Uni is my home, I love Uni and it's a great experience but Uni doesn't feel like home. I mean, if you have to put shoes on to go to the toilet then that definetly is not home! I love travelling, I wouldn't travel on the bus by myself a couple of years ago... but now I would easily get the train to Kent alone. I was in London last weekend getting the train (with that damn bright pink suitcase) I stopped and looked around and saw so many people rushing about. I think I may have missed a train whilst observing my surroundings, but I like to people watch. I would love to work in London, because there's so much going on.
So maybe I haven't found my home, maybe it's somewhere I haven't been yet.
I would love to travel, but then again that would mean living out of a suitcase...

Changes for the good, and the bad.
Last summer me and my good friend Lissie always said we would keep a blog, we both have a passion for writing so we thought a blog would be perfect. Ok admitedly neither of us started one till just recently but we've both been busy.
I left my old life behind in September, I had an amazing summer but there was always something missing. My summer involved parties, sunbathing at the beach, hanging out with friends.. it was awesome. Then at the end of the summer I met Dale. We met in a random place, but the timing was perfect. Okay he lives 159 miles away from me, but we make it work and I see him often. Then came the change-able month, September. I never thought this month would come around, all year I had been waiting. On the 22nd September I left for University. I found it so difficult at the thought of leaving my family and friends behind, but then a good friend said to me "don't be scared, this is another chapter in your life". I don't think she realises how much that helped me, So.. I left my sunny town and headed off.
So that's how it all began, University has changed me.
I have become a better person from it, I grew up. I can't really explain in what way I grew up, I have always been quite responsible. I guess I grew up in the sense of understanding there's more to life than just one town!
In one way I've changed for the bad, I forget that I have another life back home.
I miss my friends... I have a good friend who's more like my sister. I will make more of an effort to go home, because I do miss home.
I know at the end of the day the main reason to go to University is to get a degree, but Uni has already given me what I needed. Which was change, and I couldn't be more happier about that change. Change is good, a year or so back I would have been scared at the thought of change.
But now I have realised it's not so bad.
I shall post oftten, Winch Uni Gal.
